Auditorium
The stunning fully retractable 398-seat auditorium is enhanced by a radical technical fit-out to ensure a delightful experience for performers and audience. This includes a high specification ETC Unison Ethernet Lighting System whose advanced modularity helps to effectively create the setting for a scene or put performers in the spotlight. Our highly skilled technical staff also operate the Martin Audio Line Array PA system in conjunction with the Motorised Acoustic Baffles (suspended from the house roof) to ensure seamless acoustic compatibility, as capable of providing the finesse and detail for a symphony orchestra to being fully amplified for contemporary music events. The moving ceiling allows our technicians to configure the room to provide a specific reflection sequence from the ceiling, or move them in unison to block off the upper volume of the room and globally reduce the reverberance. The innovative Serapid Chair Lift Orchestra Pit Elevator is run on a motor chain to allow floor levels to vary from stage level, to house level to orchestra pit, accommodating extra seating, orchestras and a forestage. Our Fly Tower with Counterweight and Motorised Flying Facility allows multiplicity in cradling stage sets, cycloramas, curtains and special effects between the grid and the stage. These pioneering specifications, alongside all our auditorium equipment provably provide a detailed and rich theatrical and musical experience.
