Widely acclaimed as one of the most talented brass bands in the UK, Murley Silver Band has steadily risen in accomplishment since entering the brass band competition scene in the late Sixties. Originally from the townland of Murley in the southern end of the Clogher Valley, now based in Fivemiletown, the band has developed a wide and varying repertoire which will thrill all in attendance at this debut performance in the Strule Arts Centre. Murley are current 2008 Northern Ireland Band Association Champions having taken the same title the previous year in 2007 and have subsequently performed at the European Championships. A full two hour concert of military marches, classical, film, popular, swing and big band as well as sacred arrangements will guarantee this to be an unmissable event for all music lovers.
